Privacy Policy
Loka is a ProxX product (“Loka,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we process when you use our website, waitlist, and iOS app. We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-app advertising.
Privacy nutrition label
This inventory is also the basis for Loka’s App Store privacy answers. Apple’s published label must be kept consistent with the app and all integrated SDKs.

Not currently collected by Loka: contacts/address book, health, financial information, payment card data, browsing history, search history outside Loka, audio recordings, or advertising data. The current report flow accepts photos, not video; this policy and the App Store label must be updated before video uploads launch.
How we collect and use data
- You provide account, waitlist, profile, report, photo, referral, feedback, and support information.
- Your device provides location only after iOS permission. You can change permission in iOS Settings. Report coordinates are stored with the report.
- We use data for app functionality, authentication, nearby safety information, notifications, moderation, abuse prevention, customer support, security, and legal compliance.
Public reports and sensitive media
After moderation, report descriptions, approximate or precise incident locations, timestamps, and uploaded photos may be visible to other users. Your account identifier remains associated with a report in our systems. Do not upload faces, license plates, home addresses, children, medical details, graphic imagery, or other personal data unless it is necessary, lawful, and permitted by our Community Guidelines.
AI and automated processing disclosure
Loka does not currently use private user uploads to train generative AI, and no AI system makes legal, employment, credit, insurance, or other similarly significant decisions about users. Reports are currently queued for human moderation. If we introduce automated moderation, ranking, translation, summarization, or generated content, results may be incomplete or wrong. We will label user-facing generated material where appropriate and update this policy before using personal data for a materially different AI purpose. We will not quietly repurpose private photos, videos, or report text for model training without clear notice and any consent required by law.
Service providers and disclosures
We use providers such as Firebase (authentication, database, storage, functions, and notifications), Mapbox (maps), Apple (iOS services), and public camera/weather sources. They process information under their own terms and our configuration. We may also disclose data to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or complete a corporate transaction. We do not permit service providers to use Loka data for their own targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account is active and as needed for security, disputes, and law. Reports and moderation records may remain after account deletion where necessary to preserve public-safety context, enforce our rules, or meet legal obligations; we will delete or de-identify them when appropriate. Notification tokens are replaced as devices change. To delete your account, use Settings → Delete account. For access, correction, objection, restriction, portability, or deletion requests, email us.
Security, transfers, and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Providers may process data outside your country. Loka is not directed to children under 13. Users under the age of legal majority must have valid permission from a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data without authorization.
Your choices
You may disable location, camera, photo, and notification access in iOS Settings, though some features will stop working. You may edit profile information in the app and request support at the address below. Subject to lawful exceptions and identity verification, Indonesian users may request access, correction, completion, deletion, withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis, objection to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, restriction, and other rights provided by Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP). Mandatory local rights remain unaffected.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy. Material changes will be shown in the app and may require renewed acceptance. Contact support@lokabyproxx.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject.
